We worked with the Stone Oak Country Club earlier this year to help improve the acoustics in their club’s grill room. The grill room is a popular spot at the club, and members use it often after a round of golf or a game of tennis. The food is great, but many complaints were coming in because of how loud the restaurant was. In the room, there were way too many hard surfaces that reflected sound waves throughout the area.
The Dining Area
The club called us up, and asked to assess the situation. During this assessment, we recognized that the room’s style could accommodate a few different wall panels, but it wasn’t as equipped for ceiling tiles. The building owners didn’t want to change the look too much if they could help it, which led us to recommend our Eurospan® Stretch Fabric System. Eurospan® would be able to solve the noise problem and blend in with the style of the restaurant. This proposal was met with approvals across the board, and we installed the solution soon thereafter.

Stone Oak’s General Manager, Keith Olander, commented, “It certainly has worked. We noticed a difference right away. You could tell that the sounds and the acoustics have dramatically changed. Those who are coming back (for the summer) from Florida are saying “Wow!” Everyone can hear each other at their table and they can hear what they’re saying without raising their voices. It’s certainly done the trick for us.”
He furthered this statement, saying that “Not only has it done the job as far as acoustics, it’s also improved the aesthetics of our grill room. I think eurospan® just fits, like it’s been here the whole time.”
By utilizing our acoustic solutions, Stone Oak has been able to optimize their grill room to better accommodate the members of their club. You can do the same by reaching out to one of our representatives.
